OJLL Announces Protected Player Lists Ahead of 2024 Draft
The Ontario Lacrosse League (The OJLL) has released the protected players list from each team in advance of the 2024 OJLL Entry Draft on January 14, 2024 at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre in Oakville, Ontario.
Ontario players born in 2007 that are not protected by OJLL teams under OLA R6.43(a) of the OLA Rules and Regulations are eligible for selection in the two rounds of the 2023 OJLL Draft. There are twenty two selections in total.
While not every team currently holds a pick, all 11 teams will participate in the draft, with Kitchener-Waterloo making the first overall selection. Fans can stay on top of the current draft order here.
Draft selections and transactions will be updated in real time on Twitter beginning at 10:00 a.m. ET and published upon completion of the draft. The event will be closed to the public.
Note: Under OLA R6.38(a), minor centres that have a Junior B (OJBLL) or Junior C (OJCLL) team may only have one player selected each year. Only one goalie can be drafted from these centres in a 5-year period.
