ONTARIO JUNIOR LACROSSE LEAGUE EXTENDS PARTNERSHIP WITH DAIRY FARMERS OF ONTARIO
The Ontario Junior Lacrosse League (OJLL) is proud to announce a two-year sponsorship agreement with Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) through MilkUP, a lifestyle brand that provides nutritional fuel to empower Ontario Gen Z to realize their untapped potential. The goal of the partnership is to promote youth dairy consumption while promoting local community sports.
DFO played a crucial role in the league’s return to play in 2021, allowing the OJLL to broadcast its modified season that called for limited fans and spectators due to COVID-19. The broadcasts sponsored by DFO helped raise the profile of OJLL players ahead of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) Draft. They brought every game from the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre in Oakville to the living rooms of fans across Ontario, allowing them to cheer on their teams from home.
“We are very excited for the opportunity to extend the league’s partnership with Dairy Farmers of Ontario,” said OJLL Commissioner Mark Grimes. “Our continued relationship with Ontario’s dairy farmers will have a positive impact on our players, families, fans, and the communities we play in within Ontario.”
“Dairy Farmers of Ontario is proud to extend our partnership with the Ontario Junior Lacrosse League and support youth sports,” said Cheryl Smith, Chief Executive Officer of DFO. “MilkUP inspires, celebrates, and motivates teens to realize their untapped potential. This partnership positively affects youth sports while highlighting the benefits of milk in a healthy and active lifestyle. On behalf of Ontario’s 3,400 dairy producers, their families and teams, we wish the athletes well and applaud their hard work and dedication – values our producers know a lot about.”
The agreement begins with the 2022 season and runs through the end of the 2023 season. For more information about the OJLL, please visit ontariojuniorlacrosse.com. For more information on DFO’s MilkUP initiative, please visit new.milk.org.
