We’re Hiring: OJLL Opens Applications for Deputy Commissioner Role
The Ontario Junior Lacrosse League (OJLL) is now accepting applications for the role of Deputy Commissioner, starting in the 2025 season. This key leadership position will play a vital role in supporting the OJLL’s mission to advance junior lacrosse in Ontario and foster the next generation of talent.
With Deputy Commissioner Bob Clevely’s term now concluded, the OJLL wishes to express its gratitude and deep appreciation for his significant contributions. A respected figure in the lacrosse community, Clevely is a member of both the Ontario Lacrosse and Canadian Lacrosse Halls of Fame. Known for his dedication to the development of the sport, particularly at the junior level, Clevely was honored in 2019 with the prestigious Thomas “Tip” Teather Trophy for outstanding service to lacrosse in Ontario. His impact on the league and the sport as a whole will be felt for years to come.
Deputy Commissioner Role
The Deputy Commissioner will serve a two-year term, working closely with the OJLL Commissioner and the Board of Governors to oversee league operations, support member clubs, and uphold league policies. Key responsibilities include managing the OJLL Draft, overseeing rosters, maintaining policy adherence, and fostering integrity and growth within the sport.
Ideal candidates should have a strong background in sports leadership and lacrosse operations, a passion for the game, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity.
